Ceramic Insert Blow bars

The toughened chrome blow bars from BDI offer good wear resistance for abrasive applications including recycled concrete but are also tough enough to take impact from large feed size and also steel in the feed.

The big advantage during testing in an abrasive concrete recycling application was no breakages.

It's low chrome with manganese contented and get martensitic and austenitic mixed matrix, and austenitic will help to increase impact ability. Impact ability of this material is better than normal low chrome but hardness is less than BHN600. It perfectly fit in concrete demolition.

PROBLEM

Abrasive granite based concrete recycled application where feed size wasn't controlled and steel(rebar)was in the feed which was causing standard high chrome ceramic bars breakage.

SOLUTION

New toughened high chrome blow bar from BDI.

RESULT

No breakages

Wear life increased by 30%

During testing Feed size was 600mm for this Application, Additional applications / materials highly resistant to compression E.g. Granite, Basalt etc. would be subject to stricter feed size controls and BDI cannot Guarantee any liability as testing hasn’t been carried out on these Materials to date.
